The project has been drafted by the Engineering firm Frosio (Brescia) and the constructions assigned to three different companies as follows:

The total cost of realization of the plant is € 1,842,000.00

The plant utilizes the force generated by the 23.95 m hydraulic jump already existing on the Arnò waterway, guaranteeing a water flow that ranges between 1.5 and 4.5 m3/second.

The “Kaplan” vertical-axis turbine, with a fixed pre-distributor and a mobile-flaps distributor, is coupled directly with the LDW power generator equipped with internal synchronized cooling system and capable of generating an apparent power of 1,150 KVA and an active power of 920 KW at 750 rpms.

The power plant has been officially active since March 1st 2002. Up to 2014 it has been certified green by obtaining the I.A.F.R. qualification for power plants fed though renewal sources.

January 1st 2008 marks the date when the power generated by the plant has been yielded to the agency managing Electrical Service following the deliberation A.E.E.G. 280/07.
